Caglieron Caves opening update

10.00 – 18.00 from Monday to Sunday
In conditions of weather warning issued by the civil defense the Caves can be closed.
We inform you that from July 19th 2020 the caves are with a paid entrance.
The ticket office is active from 10.00 to 17.00 from Monday to Sunday

Here are some indications for the visit:
Route: The length of the ring route is about 1 KM and a visit time of about an hour is estimated.
The visit must be carried out in absolute compliance with current legislation; without creating gatherings, with the use of a mask where necessary, gel or gloves and respecting the spacing. In this regard, it is strictly recommended to proceed in the one-way direction and with the indications given by the signs installed along the route.
Parking: It is possible to park the cars in via Grotte del Caglieron and in via Ronzon, in the designated parking spaces, upon compulsory payment of the ticket for the parking. (bring money – hourly rate € 2.50).
New road on public holidays to reach the Caglieron Caves: visitors are advised that from 14 June to 30 September 2020, from 10.00 to 17.00, on holidays the circulation from the Municipality of Fregona to the Caves is regulated (via May 1 and via Grotte del Caglieron, provincial road 151) based on the parking capacity. Once the maximum capacity is reached, the traffic will be diverted to the car parks in the center of Fregona. From here in about 30 minutes you can reach the caves on foot via path 1037 B “Pont de Fer”, starting next to the Municipal Stadium.
Tourist bus circulation: traffic from the Municipality of Fregona to the Caves (via Primo Maggio and via Grotte del Caglieron, provincial road 151) is prohibited on public holidays from 14 June to 30 September 2020, from 08.00 to 17.00.
General indications: animals are allowed with the use of a short leash, it is recommended not to leave manure on site; the visit cannot be carried out with strollers or baby carriages.
In the caves area there are some picnic tables along the stream and near the info point; in the green area adjacent to the bell tower of Fregona there are 6 picnic tables; waste must be taken home for delivery.
The information / refreshment point in the cave area is open every day from 10.00 to 17.00
It is possible to carry out guided tours with a nature guide on Sunday at 10.00 – 11.00 – 12.00 – 14.30 – 15.30 – 16.30. MAX 20 PEOPLE PER GROUP.

Every Sunday from 10.00 to 12.30 and from 14.00 to 18.00 Mirto Masutti talks about the craft of the stonemason and the art of working Piera Dolza, at the Borgo dello scalpellino.
At the tourist office located in via Marconi 6 (100 meters from the town hall), information paper material is also available on the external bulletin board. The opening hours are: from monday to friday. 10.00 – 12.00 Saturday and Sunday 9.30 – 12.30.
Campers can park for the night in the parking lots near the schools, in via Roma.
